  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Engine cranks longer before starting (after sitting a couple days)

I recently (5000 miles ago) had my engine in my 2012 Equus replaced under warranty for oil burning.

The new engine is fine, EXCEPT I noticed that if it has been sitting for more than a day, it cranks for a couple seconds before starting rather than starting up almost instantly as the original engine did. (If the engine is warm or has been sitting for up to a day, it starts instantly) It sounds as if it is not getting the fuel flow right away. Otherwise, runs perfectly.

I took it back to the dealer and asked them if they could check the fuel injection system for a leaky check valve or other issue, and they said it is normal.

Since this is a relatively new issue for me, I don't believe it is normal.

Anyone else have this issue?
