  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I had a small issue with a warning chime related to the front distance sensors which forum members helped solve--thanks!
Here's another one--with my '10 4.6, I am experiencing a small but noticeable 'torque vibration' through the pedal upon accelerating off the line. The vibration disappears almost immediately (I am thinking about 2500 RPMs and only in the start gear)..Its the only non-smooth feature of this engine/transmission...the rest is butter..Anyone else experiencing this? Theories? thanks

thanks, big help... I am wondering since I have well over 4 yrs, 60K miles left on the drivetrain warranty to just hold off until I take it in for normal service..or is that a repair that should be performed asap? The rumble is most certainly there at start off, but it isnt much and does not affect driving really. thoughts?

The dealer should repair it no questions asked, as for when.... that is entirely up to you the owner; how much does it bug you? Only you can answer that one my friend.

Its the center support bearing on the drive shaft. Make a Tech ride with you and demo the issue to him. Don't let them shim or any half measure. Nothing short of a drive shaft replacement will do.

+1 for sure and - It takes most of a day to change out the driveshaft. Also fyi this is a common problem with high hp engines. I have seen post about this kind of problem on Cadillac, Mercedes, BMW, etc forums.
