  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Entry Luxury Comparo - Equus last

Re: Entry Luxury Cpmparo - Equus last

Well, if "label snobbery" (that's what M/T called it) counts more than value (the Equus was as much as $30k less than some of the other cars tested), then their ranking makes sense.

Re: Entry Luxury Cpmparo - Equus last

Only last in Label Snobbery. Ranked very well in other areas.

Admittedly, the Equus lacks pedegree...And to the 'credentialed' journalist, matters of pedegree do matter. The real question should be, "how much is one willing to squander to satisfy one's own road-borne ego"?? Call it silly or a sign of the times, but I'll take the Equus, and feel supremely satisfied about helping my kid through College.

Best Regards,

I think the Horse finished no lower than 4th in any category, yet finished 7th overall. Actually, I'm quite happy that I'm driving ANY of those tested...and at the least cost!
Reverse snobbism can be fun!
