  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Equus Trunk Emblem

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
What is the procedure to replace the Hyundai trunk emblem with a Equus trunk emblem?
Same as for the Genesis (assuming you have purchased the part). There are hundreds of posts on this forum with instructions and even some videos.

You can probably find the part on Ebay or via a Korean Auto Parts importer. The Equus trunk emblem is used on Korean versions, so someone has to purchase it in Korea and ship it to the US, and then sell it here.

Just got my 2013. The sales guy bought an emblem on Ebay and I paid $30 for the service guys to install it.

There are a bunch of threads on this. Search. Basically air dryer and fishing line will take off the old h.

Ruisimo, can't we get a Sticky or two on this subject in the Appearance forum?

I bought the trunk emblem on ebay for $14.00 pp and no sales tax. I used a hair dryer and dental floss to remove the old emblem, very easily. Getting the glue of the trunk lid was a little more work.

GooGone (a citrus cleaner) works good at removing glue residue (but don't get the Extreme version, which is paint thinner). You can get it at any discount or hardware store, and probably most groceries.

GooGone is great to have around the house because it will remove glue residue that is hard to get off, such as when you buy something and try and remove the label or price tag. After using GooGone, be sure to clean the area thoroughly with some soap and water and let it completely dry before putting new emblem on.
