  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm been surprised how easy it is to put my RWD 2.0T into oversteer in the corners. This thing is very tail happy if you push it (particularly now that the skinnier winter tires are on). What surprises me is that I never see any indication that the stability control tries to intervene. Every other car I own or have ever owned would always flash the ESC light when traction to the rear is lost, to the point where I had to check to make sure I hadn't turned it off by mistake (i hadn't). Not a complaint, I always end with a smile on my face after the initial surprise and quick effort to counter steer, but for family sedan I am just surprised that the electronic nannies are so unobtrusive.

I believe that's part of the "Drift Mode" programming of the car. I agree, it's too much fun!

Yup, with TC and SC still fully enabled it will let you bring the rear out - but only to a certain degree before it cuts power.

I've played with trying to get the car to oversteer with all 3 modes (ie all enabled, TC off, and TC and SC both off). With only TC off, it allows even more oversteer than with it on, but if you really start to oversteer more than a second or two, it cuts power. With both TC and SC disabled, you can actually drift the shyte out of it. It's awesome.

I was surprised as well for how much it lets you play around with it even with everything enabled! Makes this car pretty dang fun.

Agreed that the TC and ESC are fairly slow to kick in, which is refreshing. Depending on the tires you're using, this can be a little surprising on certain road surfaces. My PS4s are hard to break traction with on dry pavement but, as soon as they do, the relatively low spring rate on the suspension combined with the LSD means that the back end will kick back hard when the tires bite. You certainly don't want to overcorrect on this car. We don't want a bunch of G70 burnout fail videos on YouTube (kind of like a certain pony car whose drivers have earned a reputation for not dealing with oversteer very well)!
