EU lowers tariff for selling Chinese-made Teslas in Europe

European Union has lowered its tariff for Teslas made in China and shipped to Europe. Tesla's market share in China shrank to around 6.7% at the end of 2023, from 10.5% the prior year, according to Bloomberg calculations based on China's Passenger Car Association data. By comparison, Cox Automotive says Tesla's share of U.S. EV sales fell below 50% for the first time, to 49.7%.

A Journal piece earlier this week made the point that "Volkswagen, GM and other big brands are losing their grip on a once-lucrative market as Chinese consumers embrace homegrown electric vehicles." Edited for link to article.

Okay. The title of this thread doesn't make sense, but the like article does.
Of course, China does not impose any tariff on anything they export. This is about the EU lowering the tariffs they charge on Teslas imported from China.
