  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The dealer is offering a zero deductible plan that covers everything for 10 years/100,000 miles (except the radar for the forward sensing CC and the back up sensors) for $1100 from Protective.

Anyone have any experience with them??

I've never bought any extended warranty and probably won't now, but just wondering.

I poked around the web a bit and found a number of complaints about Protective. Seems to me you might be safer with the HMA extended warranty (Hyundai Protection Plan), which is serviced by Fidelity Warranty Services Inc. The cost is about the same for similar coverage.

As of Jan 1 2013 Fidelity is out and Zurich is in as the facilitator for Hyundai's HPP. As of writing this no one at Hyundai has any answers as too what the coverage from Zurich will encompass or cost but answers should be out on or before 2/5/2013. As for Protective sorry no info there; was offered AAIG Auto-guard from a Hyundai dealer as they did not sell the HPP one because it "burnt them on too many cases"....Finance guys words not mine. Lots of hate and venom out there on the web for Auto-guard Warranty though.

A local dealer offers the same plan through protective for about 1400, where the dealer I bought the car from offered the HPP for 2500. Haven't decided on either yet...
