  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Only once, and it stopped when I washed the car. The car was filthy and it must have been something stuck to, or on the sensor. I have had no problems since. I will say that the car has not been as dirty as it was that one time.

There has been alot of rain here in Atlanta and the leaves and pine needles have been falling in droves so that coulde be it and I've had to keep the car outside the last couple of nights while I wait for my garage door opener to be fixed. Maybe she's just mad about being left out in the cold!! :)

I noticed that today on my car also. It seems that if the sensors get dirty, snow, etc. it could set it off, you can always trun them off, untill the car is cleaned...

Problem solved just took a clean rag and wiped all the rear sensors and no problems. There was fair amount of wax build up on the center sensor, this may have caused my problem.

My front sensors have been acting up a bit. Sometimes it won't make the beeping sound and then it will got to straight "line" sounds when I'm really close. It shows up on the dash but doesn't beep.

Any suggestions? Has done this more than once.

Other posters are correct that most likely culprit is dirt etc., but in my case I had to have one sensor repaired under warranty.

Started with false positives, then entire system disabled (probably due to constant false positives).
