  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Interesting. Thanks. This sort of conforms to what I see in my area but probably more GV80s than GV70s here. The GV60 continues to be a unicorn. I have seen less than two dozen in my year and a half owning the GV60.

I would be curious to see the same figures for previous years. Is Genesis on an upward trajectory for sales or is it emulating Infinity and sinking toward the bottom (at least in my market area).

As predicted, the GV60 has been a total bust (not only here, but also in Europe, it's primary market; why get the GV60 when the better looking and significantly more spacious Ioniq 5 and EV6 can be had for significantly less?).

But despite the GV60 not adding much in the way of sales, Genesis has been on a steady climb on the sales chart...

2021 - 49,630
2022 - 56,198
2023 - 68,798
2024 - 74,930

The issue going forward is where the future sales growth will come from as currently, the GV70 and GV60 make up the bulk of Genesis sales (and profits) in NA.

The upcoming GV90 won't add much in terms of volume based in large part on its price point (reportedly starting around $100k) and the struggling G70 is slated to be discontinued with the timetable on a BEV successor being unclear at this juncture.

What Genesis needs to do is add a boxy, off-road oriented CUV to slot btwn the GV70 and GV80 in price and maybe add a 3-row CUV that's more priced alongside the X7, etc.

In the meantime, adding the EREV variant of the GV70 should help some, but it would be stupid not to add the new 2.5T HEV powertrain to GV70 and GV80 as well.

As for the GV60, the next gen needs to get boxer in shape (to maximize utility) and needs an EREV variant.
