  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well I have a few questions about the equus as I'm thinking about trading in my 2012 ram crew cab for one in the October time frame as a 19th birthday present. Little early I know but I'm doing as much research as I can to make sure I'm as happy as I can be with my choice so that I can actually keep a vehicle longer than 14 months.

1. Does the equus have a limited slip? I'm gonna be taking it to the drag strip occasionally(yes I know it's a luxury sedan) and it's a pain trying to clean the water off the tires with a one tire fryer(dealt with that on my 2011 gen coupe)

2. Are there any performance modifications for these vehicles?

3. Does anybody have any real world experience with these cars? Is it possible to run faster than the 14.6@92 that my ram does now bone stock? I'm looking at 2012+ ultimate with the 5.0 if that helps

19th birthday present? Aren't you lucky. Taking the Equus to the drag strip. That's a good one. You're a funny dude.

What's wrong with taking it to the drag strip? As long as it's a 14 second car or faster it'll be fine. Nothing wrong with surprising people by putting on a helmet in a luxury sedan if it runs a 13.9. That's like saying I shouldn't take my trucks to the drag strip? Lol

Nobody else? Well this forum has been helpful
