  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Finally!! Off the fence & into drivers seat.

:) I finally did it! 2011 4.6 Sterling Blue/Cashmire. Tough combo to find in
So. Calif. Only one of two in entire area (over 20 dealers) Had a 45 mi ride home from dealer. My first V8 & OH what power! Bearly had to step on the gas to get to 65. (coming from a V6 Infinity I30) I too was a little worried about the ride. First drive was great! Very smooth & quiet. So far, so good.
Not sure about the re-badge yet. I'm actually very proud to be driving a
Hyundai & to show it. I'm glad I resisted going with the other makes simply for "status" & the "VIP" treatment. I owe a lot to this site for the great info
I have received over the past year. Many, Many thanks to all!
I believe I read somewhere on one of the posts that pricing on the west coast
seems to be a little higher than other parts of the country, & IMO, it seems to
be true. FYI- I do not believe I paid any premium for the model/color.
With that said, here are my purchasing numbers:
MSRP, w/IPod cable, RG tray, wheel locks & freight @ $ 43,985.00
Purchase price @ $ 39,975.00
1,500.00 comp. rebate
Note: Sales tax, license/doc fees were added to the 39975.00 BEFORE
the 1,500 rebate was applied. Is this common practice with all purchases ?

Thanks again for all the help I have received & look forward to many happly
years with my new Gen.

Nice car bro, very nice. My wife always tells me how much she likes being in the car when she's driving it. She has a Lexus GS350, and I honestly think she likes driving the Genesis more. And we only have the V6. You're gonna love that car.

You now be jammin' in a Genesis!

Nice! That was the color combo I wanted, but there were none to be had :( Congrats!

I have the same color combo, and it's gorgeous. Congratulations and welcome to the family.

Yes, you have to pay tax on the rebate.

I live in Texas and bought mine last month. I paid sales tax only on the sales amount AFTER the $2,500 in rebates were deducted. It may be different in other states.
