Finally

picked it up this AM. it was all i could not to strangle the sales manager, who insisted on giving me the normal 1 hour, try to sell everything to the guy, speech, when i had about 5 minutes worth of paperwork to sign and could have been on my way. but the hour was worth it.

all i can say is AMAZING! i will be watching all future movies in my car, that much is for sure now. the V8 is incredible. it has been about 2 months since i drove the V6, but i don't remember it to be anything like what the V8 is.

i will probably have about 2000 miles on the odometer by the end of thanksgiving weekend, over a variety of road types, with and with out adults in the back seat. so in about a week i should have some more opinions on a variety of discussions that have been on the boards here.

not sure i will have time to post it all though, as i will probably be out enjoying the new car!!!

my wife has already stated it is good thing you can't watch DVDs while driving. i picked up one of those DTS demo DVDs and it just blows me away.

rick you are probably right about the vette. i am not sure it would even fit in my garage, the genesis barely does (guess i need to clean it out). i know i am the only V8 owner in maine, and one of about a 1/2 dozen genesis owners. i still haven't seen another one on the road ANYWHERE i have been, which is kinda suprising considering there are about 5000-6000 of them out there.

today i get to pay my excise tax. god, maine is horrible. $2000 grand in sales tax yesterday and another $1000 today. at least it is about half what a LS460 would be...

i can report that i paired both my wife's and my phone easily as well as programmed a rolling code door opener no problems. i find the DIS to be fairly straight forward.

one flaw i did find is the drivers floor mat. the genesis script is only half attached on that one, will have to get them to replace it.

other than that time to go put some more miles on it so it is broken in by tuesday.
