Firmware Update

I purchased a 2013 3.8 with tech package last week - CPO with 12k.

I went through the menus and noticed the firmware, maps, gps are all 2012 versions. Are they supposed to update the firmware as part of the CPO process? If not, how much does it cost to update? I don't really care much about the maps update if that is the bulk of the cost.

Depends on manufacture date, and no CPO doesn't do that,

They are having a special on that now from about $99 Mapnsoft plus an hour of labor.

They do a software update and a map update, I would definitely say it worth it. Done a couple at work, waiting to do mine. This update takes about 3-4 hours so the dealer should give you a rental or loaner.

If the system works fine. And you don't care about the maps.... Then what is the advantage?

I am afraid to ever have mine updated as it works well enough now. Would be afraid of causing problems that I don't have in this version.

Then there's no advantage,

It's update most of the features for the map, roads gas station exc..
