  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm very impressed with the new Sonata, but it's no Genesis. ;) I personally hope they build a Sonata wagon (ala the Elantra Touring) w/ optional AWD. It would make a great replacement for my better half's 2007 Mitsu Outlander which guzzles gas like a V8 and feels slower than it's 8-8.5 second 0-60 time would suggest.

My dad is getting close to being in the market for a new car. He currently has a 2002 Subaru Outback 2.5L and a 99 Camary. He's having a lot of problems with the Subaru which is unlike a Subara, but he likes having a wagon.

I'm not sure which vehicle he will replace first, but he is interested in the new Toyota Venza. I think it's nice, but overpriced. He would want the base model with the 4 banger.

I have pursuaded him to look at a bunch of different cars including the new Sonata, which he said he would go look at. From the sounds of it he wants another wagon like his Outback or possibly a cross-over like a Venza. He commented on that Hyundai doesn't make a wagon (he's not interested in the Elantra Touring).

He said he wouldn't buy another Subaru.

With a few small changes I think the Hyundai Genus concept would make a great AWD wagon/crossover that could compete with the Venza, Outback, and ugly as sin Accord Crosstour.

Possible Name: Sonata Touring X
