  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I turned on my 2010 3.8 this morning, the steering wheel didn't "assume the position" as it usually does. I hit the preset button... it didn't move. I fiddled with the control switch... still nothing. The wheel remained in the fully retracted position. After a couple of minutes of driving, I tried the control switch again and this time it worked. At the end of the trip, it returned to the retracted position as always.

Anyone else experience this?

I also have noted that the seat never moves in response to turning it on/off, although it works fine with the control switch and the preset buttons. I don't believe that's normal either... correct?

shifting the gear selector out of P will stop the resume action. So you have to wait til all the setting complete its travel before shifting out of P. belive that will help.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I believe that there is a problem with some genesis. You might want to browse around the forum to find out what to replace. Warranty issue I believe.

I found the thread, thanks. It seems others have had related issues. There's a TSB too.

I also experience the same problem...steering column rarely returns to preferred setting

Where would i find the TSB?
