  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a GH5 with the newer Leica 12-60 (24-120 equiv), 2.8-4 not the 3.5-5.6. The local big name shop was doing a promo where they paid all the tax plus about 4% more off. Got the V-Log software too, silly that it's $100, but if you are that point, that's like arguing about the cost of the optic after already buying a nice rifle chambered in $10 bills. Anyhoo. I thought I would share some initial photos, out of the box, un-set up, and just left on intelligent auto (panasonic users will know thats the do nothing manually setting). It was getting dark and the battery was taking "too long" to charge, so out I went. No corrections in post, just straight from the beast.

This is what I got that first evening, dunno if the metadata is still attached or displayed on PB, I stopped using it a while back, but have decided to use it as my default, for now. Enjoy!

edit - ugh, they've capped things at 1024, I'm beginning to remember why I stopped using PB. oh well, will rehost later today. So far though, phenomenal camera, HIGHLY recommended if video is your thing, 4K 10 bit 4:2:2 at 100mb (you read that right), that's gonna get bumped to 500 later this year via firmware
