  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So in the last 2 weeks, I've now had a flashing CEL twice. I do not have a log as I wasn't racing or doing anything out of the ordinary. Both times the flashing CEL has occurred right after start up and acceleration. Wasn't going fast, both times under 40mph. Spirited acceleration though (3800 RPM). Cylinders 2,4, and 6 are showing a misfire code simultaneously. However, there are no other error codes identifying what could else be going on. For those that don't know, those cylinders are all on the same side, the driver's side. CEL flashed for about 10 secs and then went away as if nothing had happened. I have tried over the last few days to replicate the conditions and "force" a CEL , but nothing. The car is driving perfectly normal and is still willing to go all out with no issues. But a flashing CEL should never be ignored.

I'm kinda at a loss for what could be triggering it and wondering if anyone else has had something similar happen where there's multiple cylinder misfires. Thoughts?

The only real clue is that it's contained to bank 2. Could be this, could be that, maybe xyzabc. Check your mods on that bank. Check for rodent damage. If performance is fine try going back to stock ECU. Check condition of plugs. If primary and secondary cats are still on might have damage. A GDS giving you live data will tell you what you need to know.

The flashing light isn't constant though. I thought the issue would need to be happening live for me to get the data?
