  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Had something weird & random happen today.... The fasten seatbelt light began to flash (no chime). At a stop it would quit, then resume over 15 mph or so. It finally extinguished itself after I shut off the car while getting gas.

Thoughts?

Something on the front passenger seat? Normal behavior if so. No belt chime.

The seat can sense a phone or even a few sheets of paper sometimes.

Strange - it was just my lunch bag. Which has made the trip many times. I did decide to latch the passenger belt right before the gas stop as well.... Perhaps you’re right.

Same thing happened to my '15 Ultimate. I had some library books on the passenger seat and the seat belt lamp on the center panel lit up.

I also fastened the passenger seat belt to make it go off.

This has only happened once in 3 & 1/2 years.

Like I said it was pretty strange - it seems to have gotten a bit more sensitive. It's not like I've been carrying more lunch!

Did it again this AM... tossed the bag on the floor and it went off. Ghost In The Machine, I guess.
