  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Focus RS to Genesis G70 3.3T Sport (Tentative)

^Also a very important factor to carefully consider! Haha.

Yeah.

I haven't even added performance mods to my RS. I don't want to start something I can't stop lol.

Speaking of dealership experiences, so far my experience with this particular salesmen at the Genesis dealer I've been working with has been great. I'm rather curious to see the service experience I'll get when I finally pull the trigger.

The dealer experience can make or break the allure of the G70, in my opinion. I kind of felt betrayed after my dealer experiences. Even though my G70 is a great car, I feel like I can no longer trust it because my dealership has shown that they'll go out of their way to avoid any responsibility for any potential warranty claim on my car, that and they did a RIDICULOUSLY bad job changing the oil on it the one time I let them try and make up for being such jerks (eg, cross threaded oil filter housing, extremely over torqued drain plug, and crap oil being used).

All of that said, I'd at least recommend asking them about their valet service. Ask them if they will give you a Genesis car as a loaner, ask about their service distance, and how they go about setting up appointments, etc. Maybe even ask them for a breakdown of warranty coverage in writing, so if they try and cheat you out of something you can have proof of what they're supposed to cover.

Some dealers are awesome. Some dealers are total scumbags. This can really make or break the ownership experience, in my opinion.
