Folding mirror not working after replacing gears.

Hi all.

I have a 2014 Genesis DH Australian model that I purchased a few weeks ago. Both mirrors were not working and I could hear the motor on each turning with clicks etc.

I ordered the new gear replacement and replaced the gears in both mirrors.

My problem now, is one mirror will manually fold, while the other seems frozen in the open position and won’t budge.

I tried connecting them back to the car, but neither mirror moves. I can hear the solenoid on both, with the non frozen one seeming to engage, but the motor on both never turns.

Anyone have similar experiences or suggestions?

I’ve taken them both apart two times now, with no joy.

Probably misaligned the gears on the frozen one. The motor needs to be in the exact right position for the teeth to mesh when you put the cover on. It's super fiddly. Take it apart again, manually turn the motor with a battery to find its full range, then set the gears to match.
