  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have become a dedicated reader of the Forum. As a driver of about 50 years, there have been many cars that got me excited. My first really nice car was a Lincoln Mark VII in 1986. Just loved getting into that one. Then a DeVille, Sevile {a loser}, then 3 Toyota Solara Avalon Camry. They were all good cars but none moved me like the 86 Lincoln. Until now the Genesis is such a pleasure to get into and drive and discover all the toys therin. I love it.
Now I found out via the Forum about erratic suspension, throttle tip, improperly placed knobs etc. All things to be on the lookout for. But everytime I get in my Genesis Its first love all over again. Just relax and enjoy. Life is hard enough without searching for problems to dull the luster of your happiness.

Agreed. Unfortunately misery loves company. Sometimes the unsatisfied owners drown out the voices of those of us who are satisfied. I don't take it personal though. Sometimes they are here to voice legitimate concerns/issues/problems, while other times it seems to be a case of "people will complain about anything".

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Genesis as much as me. 18 months into ownership and I still believe it's the best car I've ever owned (and that includes my 2006 GS430 and a 1997 BMW 528i).

Agreed, As much as I nitpick this is by far the best car I have ever owned.

Not to make this a Genesis love fest, but I throughly enjoy the car. Many times I feel like I'm gliding down the road loving the ride with the tunes cranked up. Sure I've been on some rough roads but to tell you the truth, I really don't see a huge difference with other cars that I have driven. I don't care for the jiggley boat ride feel some cars have to handle those bumps. So the way the Genesis handles them is fine by me.

This is my first venture into the luxury car market, so obviously it's the best I've ever owned since I don't have anything of equal value with which to compare. But I am thoroughly enjoying every aspect of this vehicle, from the performance to the luxury to the entertainment system. I was also looking at the Buick LaCrosse and the Toyota Avalon. I'm absolutely convinced I made the right choice.

I LOVE THIS CAR.

Go ahead and add my name to the list of happy owners! I've had the car since 8/02/08...got nearly 30K miles already, and have loved every one of them. Mine is obviously one of the first-produced, and depending on where you read, some would think those are the ones that demonstrate problems of some kind. I had a couple of what were ultimately miscellaneous issues, but overall, the car's been great. Like many others, I enjoy it each time I get in. I was stopped by a guy at a local car wash last weekend. He was washing his '07 Azera, which looked very nice, and was asking questions about my Genny, which I happily obliged to answer.

Enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine!
