  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone else experience issues with false activation of the Forward Collision Warning? I've been having this issue (it has randomly occurred at least 10 times) since after I've had the Low-pressure fuel recall addressed by the Genesis dealership which has been over two months now. I had the dealership look at my car and of course they couldn't resolve the issue because they couldn't reproduce the issue. The random events occur during two conditions:

1. Low speed (less than 50mph)
YouTube video:

2. High speed while using "Smart Cruise Control"

Could not teel so much in the first video but certainly could in the second.

Given the distance to the car in front on the highway, it should not go off. Only time it should , is when there is some actual possibility of collision. I sometimes get it when the car in front slows to make a turn. Never on the open road.

I don't know enough about the system to diagnose, but it may need calibration or aiming. I would think if the dealer saw the video they should be able to do something.

I have not had that issue with my 21.

Just out of curiosity, does your HDA work OK with lane centering? If it does not, it could be that your windshield sensors are misaligned.

Also what was the temperature when you noticed these issues. I have been having problems with the proximity sensors at extreme cold temperatures. (2024 MY). Was told by my dealer that it is currently in the pipeline for issues to be resolved.

I had to Google "HDA" (Hyundai Highway Driving Assist). Yes that works just fine.
