Found A New Feature Today

After three and a half months of ownership, I found something new today.

Was cleaning out the trunk, after my trip out to Phoenix and Roswell, and with the trunk open, I happened to look up at the inside of the trunk lid. To the right of the emergency trunk opener, there is a recessed hand grip for closing the trunk lid.

I have been closing the lid the way I always have closed trunk lids, by pulling down on the top of the trunk. This hand grip makes it easy to pull down. Now I have to train myself to pull down from the inside grip, not pull/push down from the outside.

Nice find, Bob. I wouldn't have noticed that unless maybe I was gonna sleep in the trunk at a rest stop.

That was one of the first things I noticed when I opened the trunk at the dealership! I had to constantly remind my teenage son NOT TO SLAM the trunk when he got his golf clubs out of my last car. Now I make him use the inside grip recess to close the trunk. Now he's a lot more careful....his forearm has to be removed gently on closing

I also found it right away. I put a strip of bight yellow tape so my wife doesn't put her finger prints, slam or destroy anything.
