  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

TERRIBLE.

I live in San Diego and bought a car from them via phone/mail/notary.

Called Saturday (9/19) said I wanted a particular car. Spoke to Stephanie, she was great. Had to leave a VM with Josh Freysinger who is one of teh sales guys.

Called back hours later on Saturday (9/19), hadn't heard back so I asked for a new sales person. Got Chris. Chris and I haggled on the price for a moment, then agreed on a number that he was going to try to get his manager to approve.

Never heard back on Saturday, they were closed on Sunday.

I called early Monday morning (9/21) and found out the price was agreed upon and told Chris we should move forward and complete the deal. i emailed him all my details and he turned it over to the finance dept.

Monday afternoon found out they could get me a better loan than my bank so I asked them to do it and move forward with haste.

Tuesday, found out that the docs did not get sent on Monday and "Might be sent Tuesday".

Wednesday, doc's arrived (wish they had come on Tues). I signed/notarized and sent back overnight. I explained to Chris that he'd have the docs by 10am Thursday and that I wanted the car release to the shipping company Thursday afternoon.

Thursday 9am EST...Chris is busy with a client. 10am...still busy. Finally at 11:30am EST he calls me back to say he's going to go look for the paperwork.

12:30pmn Thursday, paperwork done and car ready to go...EXCEPT...now it needs a wash (warsh). WTF...they held it hostage for another 4 hours warshing it. They had known for 3 days that I needed it released asap.

Thursday ends with the trucking/shipping company saying it'll have to go on the next day's truck and that they'll send someone Friday.

Friday comes the car is picked up, things are feeling good.

Monday...car arrives! Woohoo this is awesome! WAIT...wheres the paperwork/title?

I call the dealer at 10am EST on Monday 9/28...where is paperwork? They aren't sure if it got mailed out yet. I called 3 more times over the next 6 hours. Finally towards the end of the day they call back to confirm that they have JUST (monday afternoon) put my paperwork in the mail...4 working days after we closed the deal on Thursday.

Do I sound like a big baby, probably. But I don't think the dealer cared about my timeline, or my preferences, even a little bit. They were always going to put me on the back burner and help me when they got around to it. And since there were exactly TWO (used, 2015, genesis, ultimate, awd, black, black, CPO) in the country...I just had to deal with it.

How is it that such a terrible customer service attitude/experience is not pushed out of the market? Blame Obama or the GOP, cuz you know Freysinger will not accept the blame.

They were more than likely working two or three deals locally on the same car for a better deal.
