  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I purchased new HID bulbs to change the color to 6000k and realized after trying to remove the light assemblies that the front bumper cover needed to come off.

I went to the hyundai service website and removed the bolts they stated to remove but I still can't seem to get it off.

Has anyone down this? What am I missing?

Thanks - Ed

If you are merely changing the OEM bulbs for HID bulbs, then removal of bumper cover is unnecessary as you access the bulbs from under the hood.

However, if you still need to remove the entire bumper cover note there is a 10 mm mounting bolt on the inside rim of each wheel well that is hidden in the shop drawings of Hyundai. The bumper cover is a "snap in" assembly, designed specifically for assembly ease. Pull the bumper cover forward to release it from the "snaps" after removing all fasteners.

why would you change your headlight to a color to look cool and not see. You will have a less output of light over the stock 4300. Higher the kelvin(k) the less output.

Don't agree. I changed my other cars to 35w 6000k bulbs and it's easier to see. Give it a shot if you don't believe me and you will see just do it on a car where you don't have to remove the darn bumper to change the bulbs.

I still I can't figure out how to take it off.
