  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

After driving out of the dealer i realized the front floor mats read genesis coupe and the holes in the mats do not match the floor notches
the dealer claims there are no mats to match. i find it hard to believe
help would be appreciated

The dealer needs to get you the correct floor mats that should have come with the car. In that you do not have a coupe a floor mat that reads coupe should not be in your car.

Sounds like you are a victim of the old switcheroo! Someone with a coupe must have wanted the mats in your car. So someone at the dealership probably just swapped them out. Nice hun? I'd follow the advice from MHT and head back to dealership so they can make that situation right. No excuse for that in a new car when the mats are not the same.

Your dealer is full of you know what. The sedan obviously has floor mats, and the car should have come with them. I'm reminded of the time my brother, a contractor, asked a clerk at Home Depot where the 10-penny nails were stocked. The clerk replied, with a straight face, "They don't make them any more."

I've got a 2011 Genesis Sedan with correct mats, so they do exist.

I second that. I replaced my OEM mats with Hexomats and sold the originals on eBay (to a forum member, coincidentally enough)

Hexomats are great, by the way. I've used them in several cars - they look sharp and really hold a lot of water/snow/dirt/whatever. The trunk mats are also good, especially if, like me, you haul a lot of garden/yard supplies like mulch, topsoil, Compro, etc.

...All weather mats. Factory fit.

Wow!.....Time to find a different dealer...Mine gave the correct floor mats and well threw in a set of factory all weather mats too!! Gripe and complain until you get what you want!

The OEM Sedan mats fit the floor outline and posts perfectly. They are embroidered with "GENESIS"; the word SEDAN does not appear. I think the part number is on the back of the mats, but I sold mine and can't verify this.

If you have mats that don't fit the floor outline or posts then they are the wrong mats.
