Front Parking Senors Going Off Unexpectedly

Hey all!
2022 GV70 Sport Advanced
After the first 1000 - 2000 miles, I've noticed that 30 - 40% of the time when stopping at a red light or stopped in traffic, the front parking sensors will go off at level 2 or level 3 randomly, especially when the nearest vehicle is much more than 8ft away from the front of the vehicle.
I had the dealer take a look at it but they didn't find any issues...
Sensors are clean/clear of debris and it happens when it's sunny or dark outside

Anyone else having the same issue?

What cars are near you? Ford, Tesla, Range Rover and a few others will set them off. Do a search and you will find a few other threads here about it.

Wow... Never would've guessed!!! I'm in SoCal so lots of high end/updated tech cars around me for sure.

Occasionally when I'm completely stopped at a stoplight behind a vehicle jamming out then (((BANG))) the Cameras come on and mute my music.

From now on I'll start taking note of what the vehicles are because I'm never closer than a 1/2 car length from them.

I've noticed this. Happens quite a bit and is quite annoying. I press the parking sensor button to turn it off.

One thing that helps is to stay a little further away when stopped, especially if you notice sensors on the car in front of you.
Radio signal frequencies are regulated so all car makers would be restricted and chances are, they all buy them from the same supplier.

These sensors actually use sound, so no FCC restrictions on that. However, almost all the sensors use the same sound frequency range since there are only a few frequencies with the combination of works well, no one can hear, no interference from natural sources, and are inexpensive to make.

So, if you drive more than 760 mph you can outrun the sensor. Good info, thanks.
