  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I hit a curb and blew the driver side front tire and since then I'm hearing a very noticeable humming sound coming from the wheel which I suspect might be the wheel bearing. What is the average lifespan of these wheel hub/bearing, my car is just at 100K miles. I'm wondering if I should just replace both front wheel hub/bearings instead of just the damage one ?. I also noticed online that the price for the hub/bearing varies from $58 Aftermarket to $548 OEM, Appreciate you feedback.

Just my experience and relaying advice I've received.
It is felt your best bet is bearings/hubs from the big guys; my experts say they are worth the extra cost, IF for a long term car.
Those big guys are Schaeffler, Timken and SKF.
I've heard Beck Arnley usually repackages from the big guys; sometimes they are reasonable.

I wouldn't bother replacing both; wheel bearings tend to last forever, as opposed to having a predictable life.
