  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have been pricing front windshield replacement in out 14' R-Spec. With lane departure the lowest I have found is a little over $500. The programing of the lane departure is almost half of the cost. Man, this dude is costly!

You can get full glass coverage from your insurance company pretty cheap. Some states even require it.

Our state uses peat gravel for snow. Damaged windows are the norm. Unfortunately I have a $500 deductible.

The $500 deducible is common but some offer glass coverage as s separate line item. Don't recall what I paid but dirt cheap.

I called my agent in the morning and that afternoon Glass America came to my work and replaced it, no charge.

I will check with my company when I get home. Thanks

I just got off the phone with my insurance company. They told me we already had full glass coverage! Which is awesome since Safelite just told me $839 to do it (I was not gonna use them though).

Yep. Safe lite did mine for over $800. Paid my $500 deductible. Added glass coverage to 2 cars for $80 a year. All the other insurance policies I’ve had asked this when I set it up. Everyone should call and make sure they have it.
