I was trickle charging my 2023 GV60 12v battery and was looking at the light inside and thinking about how this shuts off when closed and couldn’t find a switch, could this be part of the reason I have a battery issue? Any idea?

Did you check that is goes off when closed? You may see it go off when close to closed. If not- - -

Just put your wife or one of the kids inside and close it.
