  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have been working with a local Genesis dealership since the middle of April in trying to secure a G70 3.3T sport in Siberian Ice. Since they did not have that particular car on the lot, they assured me that they would be able to locate one in the trim that I want AND at the internet price which would be the invoice price. Besides the TT&L fees, I would have to pay for the cost of transporting the vehicle to my dealership. I felt confident that the deal was on and we started the process to get the car.
Fast forward to the beginning of May and still no word from the dealership as to a status update. I did a search within 200 miles and found seven G70's in the exact trim I wanted and even sent this to the dealership to try and expedite things. When I finally heard from the internet sales manager, he said they were trying to trade one of their vehicles for the one that I wanted and that was the reason for the delay. I then was asked for a $500 deposit which I gladly provided.
Fast forward to mid May now. No word from the dealership and my frustration was building, so I went to the dealership and asked what the deal was?! The internet manager and the GM said they were still trying to make the trade and that I would hear back from them this past Monday. You can guess what I heard. NOTHING!!
In the mean time, I have lost a $1,000 in my trade in value with the delay and I am pissed!!
What do you all advise that I do? I left two VM's and several emails over the weekend telling them that I need to know something ASAP. Today is the holiday, but I am not holding my breath for tomorrow. Thanks all

Unfortunately there still are a lot of bad dealers out there. To be fair though, in some regions the process of moving cars from one dealer to another is hampered by the regional management. Either way, I would suggest getting your money back asap and telling the dealer never mind. Since you are will to pay the transport fee anyway I'm sure any of those dealers you found with cars will sell you one. Take a look at some of the threads here and you will see there is a member @r_spec who provides Circle A pricing certificates. With one of those you will get the car for a little over 3% under invoice. Once you have at least 16 posts you can PM him and once you have the certificate you can contact those other dealers to make sure they accept Hyundai circle pricing.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Thank you for the advice! I am thinking the same on getting my money back. Was trying to be loyal to the dealer since I bought my Sonata and then my Azera from them. Oh well!
I did read about the circle pricing. I will definitely be checking that out! Thanks again!

Get your money back and make a deal with one of the dealers that has the car. 200 miles is only about 4 to 5 hours to get what you really want. If in the same state, makes it even easier.

Evidently your present dealer us pretty much a jerk. Asking for your money back may get the car delivered the next day too.

Thanks! That is going to be the plan for tomorrow. Yes, I am in Florida so there are lots of Genesis dealerships around. Should have just gone to the closest one that had the car back in April and I'd have my G70 by now!
