  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Here's an interesting link that claims to show 155 G70 models available in the US. I'm in the NW and there are NO vehicles available within 500 miles of my home. I have no interest in buying one since I'm happy with my '18 G80 Sport, but if I did, fat chance of me getting on an airplane to maybe fly 1,000 miles or more just to have one of the first G70's in the NW. This is 3rd World marketings IMO. Actually maybe even 4th World marketing.

This said, there are 50 vehicles within 100 miles of NYC according to the filter in the link.

Allow me to direct you to this thread specifically for gripes, your post is old news. Ready to move on—this rollout fiasco is too much!. I don’t read it but I am sure you will feel at home there.

First of all, you wouldn't have to do that; you could simply have the car shipped to you. Many people buy cars over the Internet every day and do just that.

Secondly, what's wrong with flying 1,000 miles to pick up a car you really want and drive it home? I've even heard that there is some idiot on this very forum who did just that this past weekend.

Funny. I’ve done it too.

I finally gave up on the G70 and flew 500 miles to Indiana on Thursday to buy a new Corvette for 17K under sticker, then drove it back. It was a lot cheaper than having it shipped and seeing as winter is quickly approaching in Michigan gave me an opportunity to drive it and enjoy it for a short time. Got a solid 4 days to enjoy it and now it’s stored for the winter. But I’m very happy I got the exact color and options I wanted in the car, was the perfect find for me and it will be a nice treat come spring time when I can get it out of the garage and back on the road.

I still like to lurk these forums just to see how everyone is doing on their quest to get a G70. It’s nice to hear some people are finally getting their cars.
