  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For those of you who have owned similar cars from the above how does the 3.3 G70 compare? What did you not like and did like and what ultimately did you decide?

Driving dynamics? Oversteer? Understeer? I drive an Audi today and my wife drives a BMW. Love the value proposition of the Genesis!

Thoughts?

There are many threads about your topic, almost all of them are in the Genesis G70 Reviews subforum. The search button on the right top of the screen is a wonderful tool for getting info. Could you please use it?

You will find quite a few opinions out there in various threads under G70 Reviews. Personally, I just came from a 335i (the turbo in-line 6) and now have a G70 2.0T RWD. Compared to the new 3 series and a4/s4, there are pros and cons to each.

The new 3 series, which I considered, is a good all-around sedan. No single thing stands out as great, although the trunk is quite large.

The Audi A4 that I looked at had the nicest interior by far, with one exception, and it’s a personal preference. I couldn’t stand the thickness and depth of the steering wheel rim. Sounds silly, but it was noticeable to me. If you insist on AWD, Audi is obviously very good at that, but everyone else has essentially caught up.

IMO, neither the BMW nor the Audi was worth the $57K to $60K that it would have cost for the option packages I wanted (which are ridiculously overpriced). In the end, it was largely a matter of whether I wanted the BMW or Audi badge on my car. I really don’t care about that. Driving experience matters more to me, and the G70 has it. Especially in the handling department.

^ Really infuriating that it now costs an extra $8k or so to spec a 3/4 Series to get (close) to the level of driving enjoyment/handling that the 3 Series used to be.

Audis have always had the nicest interiors (sans the S Class) among the Germans, but was never a fan of the FWD bias.

The area where the Germans are ahead of Genesis is at the powertrain, but that should be rectified when the 2.0T gets replaced by the 2.5T and the 3.3TT by the 3.5TT (likely will be done for the G70 during its facelift).
