  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All,

Looking for some advise, I have a 2021 G70 2.0 4Cylinder AWD with a cylinder 1 misfire. Car feels and runs great. Changed the plugs and code came back after a week. Coil pack seems to be a common problem for this car. I am planning on changing the corresponding the coil pack.

Does anyone know the firing order so I can identify cylinder 1?

Is there anything else it could be.

Thanks,
Angel

I can tell you cylinder #1 is at one of the 2 ends.. It should be the front one, but who knows. Hopefully somebody will post an image of the engine in the car, cylinder numbers, and firing order. Having said that, you didn't mention mileage, but I suspect you have quite a bit, since you didn't mention warranty. So I'd just change all 4. The other 3 might start giving you trouble soon. Not worth the hassle, especially if you plan to keep it longer. Good luck.

Yes. My experience with other cars is that by the time one coil fails, the other are mostly marginal and will go soon to.

Thanks for your replies. The car has 54k miles and I was planning on selling it. So changing one makes sense. based on what I've read cylinder 1 is closest to front of the engine, I will change it and see if that works.
