I never installed it so I can't speak to whether it increased lag. I purchased this used and then shortly afterwards a brand new kit with full upper piping became available for used pricing so I jumped on that.

I didn't ever install this unit onto my car as I bought it second hand before a full kit with upper piping popped up for sale, but I did ask the IMR guys about lag and they said the larger core units shouldn't add any appreciable lag to the G70.
