  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

정의선 공들인 ‘제네시스 G70 N’ 스페셜 모델 나온다

It is reported that this G70 N has been working on exterior design since the first half of this year and will compete against Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG and BMW M3.

Meanwhile, the Genesis lineup currently consists of three sedans, the G70, G80 and G90. If the SUV GV80 is released in November, the Genesis lineup will expand to four by the end of the year. Next year, the company plans to complete six full lineups by releasing the next-generation G80, the mid-sized SUV GV70 and sports coupe GT70.

I'm SOOO excited for the N version of the G70. Hopefully they release it sooner than later, I want the car I buy after this lease ends to be another Genesis. I'm hoping that I can just move from the G70 to the GT70 or N G70 or whatever the new name will be

How reliable is this website? Is it a legit news site or more of a blog?

It would be great if the models are true, but I'm highly skeptical of the timelines. If they're still looking at the body styles and haven't locked in the engine configuration for the N model yet, there's no way it'll come to market in September 2020; it may not even be revealed by then. And for a GT70, a test mule usually shows up at least a year prior to the car being revealed. There are way too many unconfirmed details for the coupe to come out next year.

Personally hoping it takes a while. Both because I won't be able to afford anything in the C63 range for a while and because I want the final product to be better refined than the initial batch of G70's we've seen. The brake issues, rattles, and seized bolts really tarnish the image of what, in my opinion, is one of the best bang for your buck cars on the market

The 2.5L is a NA engine and so far it is only rumours that that they will turbo it. I doubt it will be anytime soon.
As for the 3.5L, they discontinued one a while ago and I’m not sure what this new one is. Can’t see them releasing a new 3.5L when the 3.3T is relatively new and the 3.8L was just released as well.

^ Genesis already confirmed that the new G80 would be the first to get the 2.5T as its base engine (probably no longer applicable due to the delay), but the new Optima is also slated to get the 2.5T in FWD application for its GT trim.

There were already rough estimates of the specs given for the 2.5T and the 3.5TT.

And it's not unusual for H/K/G to launch an updated/increased displacement engine in a relatively short period.

The 4.6L Tau V8 went into production for the 2008MY and the displacement was bumped up to 5.0 for 2011.

On top of that, w/ the Tau being phased out, the 3.3TT just doesn't offer enough power/torque for something the size of the G90 (it's adequate, but not when the competition offers a lot more) or the GV80, much less if Genesis ever decides to do a GV90.

And in the Korean market there's the even larger LWB/limo G90, including an armoured variant.

If it comes to fruition, the performance variants won't get the N-moniker and instead will get something specific for Genesis, and see the first performance model being at least 2, if not 3 years away.

That timeline for the GT70 coupe seems a bit optimistic.

We'll likely see the smaller CUV (BEV? GV60?) before the GT70 (at least we've already seen a possible mule for that undergoing testing).

They could probably just increase the stroke to get from 3.3 to 3.5, especially since the 3.3 is an over-square motor (larger bore than stroke), and it already has a relatively low redline.
