G80 Sport Mud Guards & Rear Floor Mats

On 12/3 I picked up our 2018 G80 3.3T Sport in polar ice. I had a 2010 Genesis 4.6L, so I are somewhat familiar with Genesis. I had two Lexus (Lexi ??) GS350s in 2013 and 2016.

1. I've always gotten the all-weather floor mats. As you may know, only the front mats are available for the G80 Sport. Does anyone know if 2017 (or earlier) G80 rear mats will fit the 2018 Sport? Can previous year's mats be "modified" to fit?

2> Ditto with the mud guards. For the Sport, Hyundai only makes guards for the front fenders of the Sport. Will 2017 (or earlier) G80 rear guards fit the 2018 Sport?

Today I got my answer from Genesis USA. I sent them an Email on Sunday:

We appreciate you taking the time to contact us regarding your concern. As it stands, the G80 and the G80 Sport allow the same amount of leg room, so any floor mats that fit for the G80 Sport should be able to fit in the G80 as well. The mudguards should also be able to fit on both trims. We understand the Genesis accessories website does not mention trim options for the vehicles, and we apologize for any frustrations this has caused.

Can't speak to floor mats. However, here is link to where I purchased front and rear mud guards for my 2018 G80 Sport. Note on the ordering option that there are different rear guards for the G80 sport.

MY pleasure. It took me quite awhile to find this site and get a clarification on the G80 sport requiring a different rear set than the G80

Might want to compare prices to the dealer I referenced above. BTW. the mud guards are easy to install.

Most all the accessories are easy to install. I've done them already. The comment was made so others my have take confidence in being able to install them themselves, with minimal difficulty. If you need any pointers just ask. Been there done that already.

Do you have to take the tires off to install the mud flaps or is there enough room between the tire and wheel well?

You can turn the front wheels to get more room to install. The rear are not hard, using a short short screw driver or one of the ratchet wrenches that can hold a Phillips drive bit.

Thank you much. I recall years ago installing them on a Honda Accord, took off the rear wheels but forgot to completely tighten the lug nuts on one of them, luckily nothing terrible other then a loud whoop, whoop noise that scared the heck out of me at 55 mph! Ah, lessons learned of a young man.
