After long drives of 2+ hrs, my 2018 G80 Sport has a strong solvent like odor. Seems like it's coming from the driver's side, but it's really hard to pinpoint more than that. It's not coming from the gas cap. Parked in the garage it's very pungent, though. The smell is only noticeable after long drives, and not local driving. Anyone hard that strange smell? The vehicle has 30,000 miles, and this just started about 2,000 or 3,000 miles ago.

Bjnawa, have you looked under the car? Maybe your "cooking" something, e.g. debris or a dead animal on your exhaust system.

I've not had any unpleasant odors (other than self generated) from my 2018 G80 Sport. There was the typical/expected smell from engine bay up to 5K. This is the paint, plastic and other chemicals burning off the engine. At 30K miles those smells should no longer be occurring. As this is a new/recent occurence; do the following.
1) Narrow down where the smell is coming from. Check engine bay and under car.

2) If in engine engine bay look for drips/leaks. Specifically look for anything spilling onto exhaust system.

3) As suggested above; check exhaust system under car. Catalytic converters get extremely hot (+1,500F). A piece of rubber/plastic could be melted to the cats/exhaust/tail pipes. I parked over/picked up a plastic bag and it melted onto the cats in a previous car. Stunk for weeks until it burned off.

Thanks, but I've done all that. I was hoping that someone else had this specific issue since it is quite usual. The smell seems stronger from the driver side front fender but it does not appear to be coming from under the hood.

Left front brake getting hot?

I can check, but wouldn't that happen if the the car was driven around town vs a long trip? It doesn't smell after driving around town, and that is more stop and go traffic.
