G80 Sunroof repair

My 2021 G80 Prestige is in the shop for rattling noise for this the 4th time. My sunroof needs to be replaced. They did supply me with a G70 loaner. After these past 10 days I inquired as to the status of my car. Besides the picture of cars also in que. My car is in this pile someplace? I was told that parts are in short supply and so is technical help. I will keep everyone informed when I am giving further details.

My 2022 G80 has some panoramic roof rattles/squeaks, especially in this cold weather...I'm honestly just leaving it alone..

If the factory/robots in Korea that installed/assisted with the install of it yield rattles and squeaks, I wonder how good the hands of the tech here will be...Probably end up being worse, after all the wait. I'm just tolerating it...

It's very sad that a brand new luxury car of this price range has an issue like this.

I don't know why they even make them. My friend has a Lexux and BMW with the same issues. Every brand has problems with them

I have a 2021G 80 prestige 3.5, got the sunroof service for about three times until they decide to replace the whole sunroof. After about 2 weeks it starts to creek again… Im OVER it

Hi I am reading that unfortunately your 2022 has the same problems as my 2021. I read all the reviews and their quality controls in building a vehicle. I totally agree with you about the robots. The robots are controlled by the computers. They should have found an adequate fix by this time. The service manager told me that between shortage of parts there is a shortage of technicians. I couldn’t stand that rattling noise and I am an embarrassed to drive with friends in the car. We paid a lot of money and expect better. But I do understand your point also. I don’t blame you for feeling that way. I would feel the same plus make a recommendation to anyone that asks me how do I like the car? My answer will be…don’t buy one.

My 2021 G80 prestige sunroof rattling noise has been taken care of. On the 4th attempt I received my car back after 10 days. The service manager told me that Genesis had released a new service bulletin regarding this situation. The sunroof was completely removed. “Noise coming from the front roller blind. Removed front roller blind and applied foam tape to all mounting points plus retorqued all sunroof mounting bolts. For now it’s fixed and I hope for good. Anyone. Who has this similar problem should suggest this repair fix. Good luck and many miles of safe driving.
