Got call from dealership, time line for replacement heater line part is changed. Part did not arrive and
will soon be going into my 3rd week without my leased G90. Genesis just doesn't have a replacement part.
If I don't get it back going into the 4th week, will ask that I shouldn't have to make this months lease payment
SURE like that is going to happen.

Seems like they should be able to rig up something to at least make the care drive-able until the part arrives. You may not have heat but at least you have transportation Unless they gave you a loaner.

What?! 4 weeks without your car because the part is not in stock? This cannot be acceptable. Call corporate.

Check the antifreeze level. Genesis has had leaks in the same fitting as mine in several cars.
I could smell antifreeze after driving the car, just as I got out the car
In the 80's, I had a Ford Escort for bouncing around NY City. After a couple of years, I notice during the cold winter whenever I came to a stop light, the heat shut off. I didn't know what is was as the car did NOT overheat. Then, for some reason I checked the radiator level and found it low. Enough coolant to keep from overheating, but not enough coolant going into the heater coil. After adding more coolant, the heater pumped out great heat while waiting for the traffic lights to change to green. NO, I didn't smell antifreeze.

OK, this sounds pretty fishy to me. I checked the AZ lemon law and it says:

Under the Motor Vehicle Warranties Law, the dealer from which you purchased your defective vehicle is allowed a "reasonable number of attempts" to bring your car to the standards defined by the express warranty; 4 attempts to repair or a combined 30 days in the shop qualify as "reasonable."
If after that number of repairs or amount of time the defect has not been corrected, you are entitled to a vehicle replacement or a refund of the purchase price (minus a fair amount for the time the automobile was used successfully).

If the latest event is supposed to be another few weeks on top of the 3 you've already had, they're toast. Just tell them you are going to file a lemon law claim.

I say this with experience. My wife had a new Jetta turbo a few years back. Over the period of the the first year the car battery went dead just sitting overnight in the garage. They took the car 4 times, couldn't repeat the event or fix it (even replaced a bunch of modules etc). When we picked up the recharged battery and car the 4th time I jokingly said "looks like it's becoming a lemon law car to me" ;-)

When we called the 5th time a month later (it's 5 times in CT if I remember correctly and the car was about 11 months old by then) they simply said bring the car in. I didn't have to even say "lemon law" once. They offered her a brand new car on the spot as a complete exchange and no depreciated value. At least in CT even the thought of a dealer going though a lemon law litigation worked in our favor.

Perhaps a number of issues worked in our favor. The car definitely had a problem they couldn't fix and qualified for litigation. They knew I could afford a lawyer. But I think most of all, they were a stand up dealer that did right by their customers.

If it is not fixed after another week will look into what I can do.
Took them 3 different times to figure out what was wrong with the seat belts
over a 4000 miles of driving without the problem being fixed.
Problem started in Arizona, was told it was fixed. Two hours out on a trip to North Carolina
seat belt lights up. Couldn't get checked till North Carolina. Told there it was fixed.
300 miles out and seat belt light is on. Back in Arizona dealer had to call Genesis to find
out what to do. Has worked ok for several thousand miles sense. Knock on wood!
I may have to switch dealership.

Just got another call from dealership, still no part.
I don't blame the dealership, they can't get the part
and don't have any Genesis in stock, They sold everything
they had.
Called genesis corporate in California. They promised to
look into why dealer couldn't get part. I told them if this
goes for 30 days I'm filing a lemon law claim. I want a new car
or my money back, I put a good chunk of change down to
keep payments low and have now paid 13 months of payments.
Was told it might take 7-10 days to hear from them

got my car back.
After I called saying I would file a lemon law action as soon as it hit 30 days.
Genesis sent the new part, overnight express.
There is a TSB for this problem . TSB 18-AT-017
Improper sealing at ATF warmer connector 25420R00 A/T hose assy-cooler.. There is a new updated blue part.
Work order says. Drained 1/2 gallon coolant, removed intake to gain access to pipe connection.
Replaced O-ring with updated blue part. Reinstalled intake and refilled coolant 1/2 coolant as
removed and additional gallon to reach proper level.
Anyone else runs in to this problem can reference the TSB

I finally got the car back after it being there for the same problem you had. The part arrived in 2 business days but they broke something on the initial repair and had to get new parts again. All in all it was gone for 6 calendar days. The only disappointment was that they did not have any loaners but did get me an Enterprise Jeep loaner. They did do a delivery of the car in great shape and then they returned the Enterprise vehicle. Not bad all in all.
Earlier someone posted that Hyundai of Roseville was terrible but I cannot say that. They were courteous, professional and communicated almost daily as to the status.🤙

Well, here we go again. Got car back, now another problem. Next day the Orange triangle, master alert
light came on. Along with a message Check BSD, Not functioning. After I stopped car at store and came
back out display warning was off. Yesterday the warning light came back on and can't turn blind spot
detection on. just doesn't work. next time I start car turns warning light off and BSD works.
Now get some heat after I set temp. to 80 or above, but am getting a bad odor.
Called dealer, I have appointments most of next week but they will set up appointment with loaner for
the following week.
Service advisor says, never seen one of our cars with all these problems. Bring car in when warning light
is on as we need to check when problem is happening.

Let us know how you make out. You can mention others have had this problem.
TSB 18-AT-017
Improper sealing at ATF warmer connector 25420R00 A/T hose assy-cooler.
Mine was loosing anti freeze
On mine any way. Can't hurt to let service know

My air bag light was the drivers , side air bag. Took them 3 times
to figure out what it was as it would stop when they tried to work
on finding problem.

I noticed recently that The heater on my G90 is nothing like any I've ever had.
Doesn't matter if I have it on Auto or try to us it in manual mode.
When I start the car and try to warm it up for the wife, It does not put out any heat
until I put it in to drive '
Yesterday I thought it was me, so sat in the car for 30 minutes trying to warm it up
Temperature gauge shows middle of heat range but no warm air coming out of floor
vents or defrosting vents, just cool air. Does anyone else have this in the G90
You have a coolant leak inside the engine. It is the o rings on internal pipes that run down the center of the engine that are leaking and you need to get it in for repair work. They have to take the top of the engine off to make the repair and it will take a few days. Check your coolant level. The engine can over heat and you will have to get it towed if you don't get it fixed soon.

I have a 2015 in Toronto when temperatures do get cold in winter. The car doesn't direct enough hot air to the feet. Always driving with cold feet during cold months. Cabin gets warm. Big flaw with this car.
