Gas tank fuel filter

Is it expensive to replace the fuel filter in the fuel tank. It says to replace this every 15k miles or so - 2013 3.8 thanks

Not sure about your 2013, but most cars I’ve been into have the filter built into fuel pump that is mounted in the tank. If your lucky there will be an access hatch under your rear seat on the tank that allows for removal of the whole fuel pump unit. Sometimes fuel gage sender is also built into the unit. Usually it’s not a huge ordeal to remove. You will want to bleed fuel pressure off before removing the fuel line attachment so you don’t spray fuel inside the car. My Infiniti and Mazda had the fuel filter screen built into the pump so it was not a separate unit replaceable by itself. If yours has a separate filter, generally I’ve seen those mounted under the vehicle back by the tank. Just follow the fuel line.
