I have a 2011 Equus Ultimate and am wondering if it's possible to upgrade that to the 2015 Standard or Supervision gauge clusters. From what I can see the 2011 has 2 different connectors on the back while the upgraded clusters has a single (32 pin?) connector.

HEQManual has a diagram of the upgraded clusters but not the earlier one from 2011: http://www.heqmanual.com/instrument_cluster_components_and_components_location-1272.html

Both pictures there show the 32 pin connector.

Obviously the part numbers for the 2011 cluster and 2015 cluster are different and the size is slightly different but I don't see why I couldn't try to retrofit the new cluster as long as the computer will recognize the cluster and it could be programmed.

New cluster: https://autoparts.beforward.jp/detail/Electrical-Parts/Speedometers/BG289729/

Old cluster: https://autoparts.beforward.jp/detail/Electrical-Parts/Speedometers/BG289731/

I just bought the 12.3 LCD Screen Gauge Cluster to put into my 2016 Signature. I think I will have to buy the steering wheel as well. Not sure what will happen but if anyone has any ideas on how to take the old one out that would be very helpful. the black one is the Analog gauge cluster and the white one is the new Gauge cluster. Where would i get someone to install this?

only thing that comes to mind is round hole, square peg.

while anything can be done if you throw enough money and time into it, is it really worth it? 2011 to 2015 is a big technology jump car wise, and I highly doubt it will be a simple "swap"

the computers will not be the same, the wiring is obviously not the same, and the cluster design and mounting points are not the same.

but good luck.,
I have a 2016 Signature. Or are you talking to OP?

OP,,

yours will likely work as they are the same year right? just different option cluster?

2011 to 2015 I don't think will work.

back in 2006-2007 the Chrysler/Dodge guys were all about swapping clusters from the SRT models into non-SRT vehicles, a bunch of extra features in the Driver Info Center and 180mph speedo vs. 140,

the 2005 guys were assed out, a 2006 or newer cluster would not work in a 2005, there was a change made to the primary control computer in 2006 that the 2005s couldn't pass the data.

2006 and 2007 could inter swap, 2008 Chrysler 300 would work in a 2007 but not a 2006, but the Dodge Charger Cluster from 2008 would not work in any previous year.

lots of mix and matching going on there, and a lot of canbus errors when swapping clusters.

Most manufacturers now and since 2006 encode the Vehicle VIN into the cluster, this way they know if it was swapped with another VIN circumventing the Federal Odometer/Mileage laws.

getting computerized clusters reprogrammed for the correct mileage and properly validated is a major cluster-phuck.. pun intended.
I just checked some other fourms, most of them say that the milage is stored in the ECU so I don't think it would be a problem. Though you had me freaking out for a second.
