  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Did anyone use GDS VCI interface clones that are all over the eBay? Will it provide dealership functionality, ECU flash update?

I took a risk and ordered one, not from ebay, but the other site. Downloaded latest GDS software v19 2016 from one of the car tech forums. VCI firmware update went ok.
Almost full dealership functionality is now at my fingertips :))) ECU/TCU reflash and different electronic modules calibration are now on my laptop as well as an access to TSBs and warranty repairs history. Awesome!

Hey Sluh,

Can you let us know where you ordered from? Looks like there are alot of different places to get one. I didn't even know this existed till now in the aftermarket. Would love to get my hands on one that is known to work.

Ordered from obd365.com
Software that comes with it is outdated. Can't post the link here to torrented latest one, Google yourself for gds USA v19
Good thing about the vci clone I got was that it's serial number that was not blacklisted and every new gds version requires vci firmware update. If your vci is blacklisted, it will brick it if update is attempted. I really worried about this part, but everything went well.
As for "dealership certification" that will let you reflash ecu/tcu/etc, pull online updates, pull warranty repairs history, campaigns for your vin etc - there is a guy, who does it online for a fee, that I probably should not advertise.

Hey Sluh

I can't PM yet, but I'm looking for more details on what you purchased and how it's working out for you

Working fine. Google for "Hyundai GDS USA v19" to get the latest software from other forums. Just used it to diagnose my AC system. Haven't used trigger module yet.

Purchased from here. Took a week or two to arrive from China. Came with v15 software that still has offline shop manuals for up to 2013 or so model years. Latest version sends you online for a paid access to hmaservice.com unfortunately. So I keep two virtual machines one for v15 and another for v19.

Updated my tranny to the latest firmware. Need to have internet connection and "dealership certification" for that. Did not drive yet and need to do the learning/adaptation procedure.
And now I know why my driver's seat bottom trim is all f-d up. Pulled the warranty history and see the first owner had the bottom track replaced at the dealer under warranty claim three years ago. This monkeys could not put the trim back as it should be and broke tabs on the plastic, missed clips and such. Another reason not to trust dealers.

ARISE!!

Can I see the the amp and speaker wiring diagrams for a 2015 ultimate with version 19?.

I have bought some China clone tools, like mb sd c4,volvo vocom 88890300,renault can clip include GDS VCI interface clones from chinacardiags.com,if you need some help pm me.
