  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2022 Genesis G70 3.3. My blower motor stopped working all of the sudden. I figured the blower motor was bad so I replaced it. That didn't work. However, I hooked up the old blower motor straight to a 12 volt battery and it came on. Then I research and figured it might be the resistor. I replaced the resistor. That still didn't work. I checked the fuses and relay. They are all good. I unplugged the blower and put a meter on it the incoming power. I am getting 3.7 volts dc on all the speeds. When I turn off the air completely, I get 12.5 volts. (weird, I know), but nothing happens. I can barely feel cold air coming out of the vents when I drive the car and put it on external vent. So I know the air conditioning is working, its just not blowing. There is no melted wires that I can see, the multi fuse is also good and doesn't have any melted places. After a week without air blowing, I crank my car this morning and it started blowing again. However after I got to work and turned the car off, it would not come back on. Does anyone have any clue what is going on? I am lost.

Check the blower motor transistor. It's a common failure point on these cars and acts like a variable resistor. The low voltage you're reading points directly to it.

Since it's a 2022, also have the HVAC control module scanned for codes. An intermittent fault there can cause this.
