  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone here gone through the process of a buy-back from Genesis/Hyundai?

My GV60 died after 6 months. Long story short, after I went through the process, they agreed to buy out my lease and reimburse me for previous payments. (I can certainly detail that process if anyone is interested).

The first part of the process was a bit slow, but ultimately it was pretty friction-free. I'm now at the final stage waiting for the "transfer agent" to contact me and schedule the drop-off at my local Genesis dealer.

This is the frustrating part. It's been almost two weeks since I signed the settlement agreement and still no call. I've asked my contact at the "Automotive Solutions Team" but she says it's an entirely separate service that she knows nothing about and all I can do is wait for a call, since no one can give me contact information.

Anyone here have experience with this?

I did it with BMW and it was painless. I had ordered a new car to meet my desires and BMW had agreed to let me wait until it arrived. So when it arrived I simply drove my BMW to the dealership and did some paperwork and exchanged my old BMW for the new one. One difference is that I had purchased my car and the OP has leased hers.
