  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I bought my 2015 Genesis in May, it was so quiet in the cabin. A few weeks ago, everything changed. Upon acceleration, I hear a whistle. I now hear thewind whooshing as I drive as well as the cars passing outside. I feel every bump in the road no matter how slight and loud road noise. I brought it to Hyundai but they can't find what is wrong. Does anyone experience this with their Genesis?

Do you have window visors?

I think that the more you drive the car, the more sounds you hear and the louder it gets. I had the same problem with every single car I ever owned. I recommend driving other car for a day or two and then enjoy your Genny again. It always works for me.

similar experience here. Check door and window seals, under body panels, and hood seal. Try lowering your window the smallest amount possible, to see if it stops the whistle.

A very quiet cabin so yes you get acclimated to it quickly. I find that in the winter, it is noisier in the cabin. This I attribute to shrinkage of the seals with the temperature dip

SOunds like the door seal is going like mine, your not crazy its the seal.

What do you guys suggest to lubricate the door seals?
Mine creak a little over uneven pavement.potholes & silent policeman.I think it's due to the loss of ridgidity with the panorama roof.I keep the stereo loud when I am without my wife but notice a bit of creaking when she's in the car.

Your not crazy. I had a 2015 Genesis AWD and crashed it so I bought a used 2015 Genesis RWD with the same Technoligy package. My first one was black. When I crashed it, it only had 30,000 miles on it, this one is white and it has 28,000 miles. It has the same size rims and tires, it’s exactly the same car, the only difference is the AWD and color. I was excpecting the same quality ride and it’s not, I thought I was going crazy too. The bumps on the road are felt pretty bad and the noisy cabin is far from the quality of the first one. It rattles a lot on any bump. it’s not a smooth ride at all. I even put on new Michellin tires and it didn’t help. At speeds above 55 mph iit sounds like i have the window cracked opened. Their is a quality issue on this one.

Seals are an issue.

Do you have a panoramic sunroof? I find that is the source of many of my rattles at highway speed.
