  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

How do I go about connecting to this with a used 2019 G70? Also concerned prev owner may still have access. How can I tell? Car has over 4 years free service/concierge remaining.
Thanks to anyone who knows.

With a used car I am not sure you are eligible for free valet service or connected service. Also it’s only 3 years free maintenance in the US and you should check if it applies to second owners.

You can start at www.mygenesis.com and register the VIN. You may need some documentation that you now own the car.

AFAIK, the concierge service is only for original owner. It is for three years, not four. You would have warranty left as the second owner it is reduced though.

Five years in Canada and I checked it continues with subsequent owners.

Please update your avatar with your location so everyone does not have to go around in circles guessing where you are located. You will get better answers if we know your location, or is it a secret?.

Hi, here is one way to do it that worked for me. I had issues online with registering. Fellow Canadian as well.

1) Register for Genesis Connected Services here: Connecting...
- When you hit an error or it comes up with "address/ownership does not match" or something like this simply close the popup or click OK (can't remember) and do this 3 more times.
- It will then "work" and you'll have an basic account setup with no Genesis registered to it.

2) In the car go through the menu settings for Genesis Connected Services and there will be a phone number listed. Likely the same as under Genesis Connected Services on the Canadian website but I never confirmed.

3) Call this number and state you want to register your car for Genesis Connected Services. Follow their instructions but basically it will involve you confirming the registered account in step 1, and then doing a hard reset in the car (small pinhole next to volume knob) while on the phone which is all that is required.

4) Enjoy.

My wife pushed the connected button on the mirror and it functioned for Google destination in our USED 2018.

This thread moved me to contact Genesis about service. As it turns out, my dealer was incorrect, and I HAD free service (I am second owner) via the CPO contract. So folks, if you get a CPO, apparently you get that 36k/3year service contract. I am at 45k miles now (I drive a lot) and 1.5 years in on this car, so I am past actually getting what I was supposed to get. I complained to my dealer, and they basically said 'my bad' and gave me 3 free oil changes. Lol. Oh well. Live and learn. But those of you with CPOs, check with genesis and do not take the dealer's word. Your service contract may not show up in their system.
