  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm out of ideas on how to get this activated. I bought on 3/19 and it was a new purchase but 2020. I waited a few days after purchase and nothing so I called in and with a rep, did the on/off and paperclip reset process. Still nothing after that but the rep said give it another 24hrs. Waited a few more days, and did the full reset process again on my own and still without Connected Services after 48hrs.

The rep told me just to update my case ticket again if it did not work after the reset I did with them on the phone. However, I have gotten no response to anything electronically. Anybody have any luck with anything I am missing?

This sucks that the service is counting down days but the activation is not active/working. Will I be part of the group that has magic (random) activation at some unspecified time in the future?

Yes, dealer did this for me and when I'm in there the Connected Services show not active (unlock, lock and remote start).

Ugh. Almost a month later and still sitting without Connected Services. I have called multiple times and end up with the same process of turning on/off 4x and then the reset button. Try to connect manually through Connected Services on the Infotainment and get the "call us" error. They take some modem info, submit a ticket and claim they will call in 5-7 days. When I call to check in on it after 10 days and no word from them, they want me to go through the same ordeal. This is pathetic on their part.

Same here !!!!!

I don't know your situation but I ended up with mine at a dealer for 2 weeks and they had to replace the connectors. They kept having me reset it and sending a signal but it never connected. Turns out replacement parts were needed but do not think it was the whole head unit. The other possibility is if you bought used you typically need to have Genesis make changes in ownership. Don't know what your situation is but definitely start with opening a ticket and see where it goes. If not resolved, plan on having it at a dealer for awhile (most likely).

Mine goes in Thursday for the same thing. Had the car for almost 2 months. Connected services has never activated. The only reason it took them this long is because I wanted a loaner and the concierge service. They would've taken it in sooner if I dropped it off.
