  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all! 2025 GV80 2.5T Advanced here. I wanted to share my experience. I have been receiving recurring emails from Genesis about a connectivity issue with Genesis Connected Services for the past week. I stopped by the dealership Saturday but no one there seemed to be aware of the technical service bulletin and fix. They wanted me to bring it back during a weekday and redownload software or something to that effect. Back at home, diving deeper into the app, the last vehicle data refresh was February 8, 2025. This makes sense since the service outage occurred on February 9, 2025. Upon researching the fix, I found a thread discussing hard rebooting the infotainment system. I basically had to remove the battery cover in the trunk, disconnect the two power connectors to the car infotainment (right side of battery compartment), wait 30 seconds, plug them back in, place back the battery cover, close the trunk, turn on the car, go to settings, and pressed ‘Reconfigure’ in the Genesis Connected Services info menu. I received a successful confirmation. Upon turning off the car, I refreshed my app and the vehicle data reflected the current date. I wanted to share this in case other owners are experiencing this. I could have attempted dealer mode but wasn’t aware what the passcode was.

Just had this done to my ‘25 GV80 at my dealer. Genesis told me that it had to be done at the dealer. It took less than 10 minutes. He did it with me sitting in the car while he was in the passenger seat and followed the steps of the TSB. It involved a bunch of button presses on various screens of the dash. Once done all things worked as normal including nav system in car and the Genesis app.
