Hello!
My girlfriend has owned her Genesis G70 for over a year now and the sound system has been acting up ever since she purchased it. The sound will occasionally cut in and out and sometimes make a high pitched popping noise. It’s extremely annoying and we’ve just been living with it. We have taken it to the dealer 3 times to get it fixed and they can’t seem to figure out the issue. They’ve replaced both the head unit, and the amplifier. Still the problem persists.
I’ve read on the Kia Stinger forums that they’re having a similar issue. Some say it’s an issue with the SPDIF cable shielding, some say it can be an issue with rusted coil packs. I wonder if their troubleshooting can be applied to the G70 as well, given the vehicles are so similar.
Let me know what you guys think the solution to this issue could be.
Thanks so much
Joel
